Mime Expressions
2D expressions (front and side views) were created to determine what faces would be used and when. It also helped to streamline the process of face-making for 3D modeler.
Ear Pull Gag
Responsible for expression concept art
We wanted to accomplish the ear-pull gag as a practical effect done in-camera. The action needed extreme squash and stretch as the film aimed to emulate the style of Tex Avery and Looney Tunes Cartoons. The guide sheet was made and then two of each ear were sculpted off the normal mime ears.
